Talking ethical...
Good morning.I found a comment from anonymous claiming that "Mr Watson's website is about letting victims tell the truth" and that my blog is "suppressing the truth about crime in SA". I think it is important for me to say AGAIN that no comments on my blog are edited at all, whether they support what I believe or not. Mr Watson, however, does not post any comments which do not praise him or agree with his methods. The purpose of this blog is to balance out his lies. Personally, I would tend to believe that Neil Watson is suppressing the truth.
Anonymous also sends a message "to all the companies that are offering all kinds of assistance to adolescent Addy. To you I say to hell with your profits and money, human lives, all of them, are way more important. Careful Addy I can see you becomming [sic] the little smiling faced idiot on their billboards promoting a safe SA."
Although I appreciate the offers of assistance I have received, as well as the offers for hosting et cetera, I have not accepted any of these offers yet. I have earned no money, nor will I earn any money at all from this blog. The people who have offered to help have not asked for any money nor have they requested advertising space, although I wouldn't see a problem with this. Another problem I had with the comment from anonymous is that I would become the smiling faced idiot on 'their' billboards. The only smiling face I've seen is the one on the Crime Expo SA web site asking for people to advertise.

It seems South Africa has two different websites with two different viewpoints, yours and Neil Watson’s of course. Neil Watson focuses on the negative aspects of South Africa and you focus on the positive aspects. I have no problem with either of the two websites, except for outright false statements which will take me no more than 2 minutes to disprove. I feel that the above quoted line is one such false statement and it does damage your credibility considerably. Below I’ve included some ‘sms comments’ which I copied and pasted straight from Neil Watson’s website. It could be argued that he filters the negative comments or that he posts more positive than negative comments, but clearly the statement that he ‘does not post ANY comments which do not praise him or agree with his methods’, made in your blog, is false.
Listen to blatter and see a nuisance you can be among millions in the world. Go home Neil. You can be a good hooligan in Europe.
Your facts and so-called stats are rubbish. Let us see you post this SMS on your site!
Neil, simply take Nqakulas advice and go home. Start by tracing your progenitors' history. SA does not need you.

I stand corrected. Still, it doesn't disprove the fact that he is ignoring a number of comments submitted to his site.

I have sent an email to Neil Watson and he has as yet to publish my comments.
To be fair to Neil Watson, he is doing exactly what the media is doing.
The lead story in the Saturday, just above the Olympic logo was such salicious headline about a Chinese couple murdered in their home and 2 Chinese nationals arrested for their murder.
I am not asking that such stories not be published, but the news were not new and had already been published and known on Friday. To put the unveiling opf the logo and that headline on the same page does exactly what Neil Watson is doing

Make some money from your website and donate it to AIDS orphans or help some abused children. These poor abused children are what ends up being the criminal. They have no guidance and life is so tough when they are kids. They beome adults who don't know better. You can also make some money from your site and put it into education.
It is quite amazing how many experts we have. So many people seem to know who the criminals are
Some say it is Foreigners, some say AIDS orphans, some say it is Zimbabwean soldiers, etc.
It seems that Neil is breeding Statistians by the minute. Oddly enough, Statisticians have to study and be trained, only to see their work being done by Mr Neil Watson and his friends.
Atleast, Neil is an insurance broker. I have no doubt that he has never acted unethically or pepretuated the robbery of his own clients by the insurance companies he works for.

A comment such as the above one, taken from Hoox’s post, doesn’t belong in any argument ever, anywhere against anyone. It serves no purpose at all other than frustrating people like me.

Like you suggest, Addy should be very careful only to quote strictly verbatim.
However, we would all would benefit if you adjusted your writing style to be a little less combative and a little more constructive. The most convicing arguments are the ones which take the most lenient possible point of view towards their opponent's position, and criticise it in a mild tone, not an agressive one. Then people can see the reason in the argument, not just the force of the emotion that drives it.
You're Maybe indicate your name, as well, so ppl can reply to you precisely - otherwise you get lost in the sea of anonymity on this blog.

When I saw that comment I thought it must be sarcasm. That insurance agents are always impeccably ethical has never been a given in my assessment.

Indeed, it is without a doubt sarcasm. The author is suggesting that Neil Watson, as an insurance broker, has 'acted unethically or pepretuated the robbery of his own clients.' Accepting that Neil Watson has acted unethically in the past just because he is an insurance broker is a generalization which doesn't help one's argument.
Neil Watson works for an Insurance company. What's the best way to sell insurance?? Through FEAR!!
